2017 is going to be a big year for Nissan. 2016 was a huge year, with the newly designed Nissan Frontier and Titan buffing up an already impression vehicle roster, so it’s not unreasonable to question whether Nissan can top it. But, it’s Nissan’s goal to be constantly changing, to continue to innovate. It’s an ideal that West End Nissan wants to emulate.
With that, over the next 12 months, Wets End Nissan will be bringing you two new innovations from the Nissan brand. Those innovations come in the form of two new vehicles; The Nissan Qashqai and the Nissan V Motion are coming to Canada. Due to arrive at the 2017 Canadian International Auto Show, February 17-26, these two new models are going to shake things up in the Canadian automotive world. Before you get a full look at both of these vehicles, I wanted to give you a little preview of what you might seem come February 17th.
First up, let’s take a look at the V Motion.
The V Motion 2.0 is the second generation of Nissan’s much discussed new design concept. The V-Motion design is more compact than the current Altima while offering a specific styling that allows it to stand out compared to other sedans on the road. The V Motion offers shaved door handles and suicide rear doors that give it a sleek, super car look. Ultra-thin LED headlights and taillights flank a tight back end and a gorgeous wide-mouthed grille.
The inside of the V Motion design is one that is both tech-heavy and lavish. It boasts a pale, pristine leather over its seating with a perfect zebrawood trim along the side panels and flooring. It’s equipped with a variety of innovative, Nissan branded technology. There’s a widescreen touch display that’s at the head of the infotainment features, with the back seat passengers having access to a smaller screen in the rear. It’s also equipped with Nissan’s ProPilot automated driving system for the most controlled highway drive possible. It’s the future of cruise-control and the V Motion is the future of Nissan.
Next, let’s take a close look at the all-new Nissan Qashqai
Pronounced “Cash-Ki”, this new addition to the Canadian roster is already a smash hit overseas. This small sized SUV is a prime example of Nissan’s versatility. Physically, the Qashqai offers clean cut accent lines that run along the body, with a stylized hood that angles down to an aggressively styled front end headed by the Nissan emblem. At a glance, it’s clear that this vehicle comes from the DNA of other Nissan vehicles, like the 2017 Rogue, but it’s very much its own thing.
On the inside on the Qashqai, you can expect a glut of innovative technology. Nissan vehicles have a knack for keeping you connected. NissanConnect is at the helm of the Qashqai’s entertainment suite, as well as an Around View monitor, intelligent cruise control, and a variety of impressive active and passive safety features. The Qashqai stands out, even just looking at its name. It’s the small sized SUV Alberta drivers have been waiting for.
