Okay, I’ll be the first to admit that Halloween isn’t the most “car-centric” of Holidays. Even Thanksgiving has more to do with cars, with the parade and all. You could argue that creepy cars have been a big part of horror movie history, with the likes of Christine or the aptly named 70’s Horror movie The Car, but it’s a very small part of spooky Halloween in general. Because of this, the automotive industry only receives a small amount of love from children and adults alike during the Halloween season. You see a whole lot of Batman’s, but when are we going to see someone dressed up as a Batmobile? Thanks to the internet, we can.
With that, here are 5 Great Car related Halloween Costumes.
As I said, Batman is always one of the most popular costumes. Each Halloween, if you go to a party or you’re out on the streets trick or treating, you’re bound to see multiple Batmans. But rarely do you see a batman INSIDE of a Batmobile! Look at this kid. He knows what he’s doing. He’s winning Halloween on his block. Some might even say he, and his parents for that matter, are heroes.
Like Batman, Ghostbusters are usually a popular get-up on Halloween. It’s a staple costume and has been for over two decades. However, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone roll up as Ecto-1, the Ghostbusters cruiser. It’s a bold choice, but one that will have you as both the talk of your neighborhood and your Facebook page.
The DeLorean is simply one of the most Iconic cars in cinematic history. It is a rarity to see a DeLorean, even on Halloween. Sure, you might catch a few Marty McFly costumes, or if you’re lucky a Doc Brown, but I’ve never seen someone dress up as the DeLorean. I know if I saw this in real life, I’d definitely make a point to go shake the person’s hand that thought of this.
Easily one of the most accurate and clever costumes I’ve seen. They nailed it. Who thinks to go as a postal worker let alone a postal truck? Sure, this one may not be as cool as the DeLorean or the Batmobile, but who doesn’t love this? All I know is, this costume sure did deliver.
Okay, fine, this isn’t a car, but it’s something car-related, and frankly, it’s my list anyway, so it’s my call. This is easily one of the cutest costumes ever. It’s fair to argue that most kid costumes are pretty adorable, but this one is just so random yet perfect at the same time. Bonus points, you wouldn’t have to change the diaper because, you know, it wouldn’t smell
