As a leader in innovation, the Nissan Motor Company developed a diverse collection of concept models to help showcase some of their technological advancements, with the hopes of implementing them to their retail vehicles for the future. With the Future & Concept line of Nissan vehicles, you can get a glimpse into what may be in store for the future of driving, such as fully-electrical powertrains, voice-recognition software, and more. Take a quick look below at some of the models and technologies Nissan developed for this lineup.
Built with the off-road adventurer in mind, the Nissan EXTREM is a concept car that highlights the excitement of driving with its unique blend of design and engineering. Created as a joint venture between Nissan Design America (NDA) and Brazilian designers, the EXTREM was created to showcase Nissan’s advanced driving technology while highlighting the vibrancy of Brazilian culture through its vibrant colours and rugged design.
Nissan Leaf Plus
While the retail version of the Nissan Leaf proves itself to be a remarkable electric vehicle (EV), the Leaf Plus takes its drivetrain and expands on it even further. While the average electric vehicle has a driving range of around 183 km, the Leaf Plus takes it further with a larger battery that doubles that range to 363 km. Additionally, the Leaf Plus is still an impressive performer as well, with the ability to produce up to 214 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque.
Nissan Titan Warrior
As you already know, the Nissan Titan has been the company’s best-performing truck for several years. So, how do you make it even better? With the Nissan Titan Warrior, the answer comes in the form of off-road design, heavy-duty performance, and a uniquely stylish and advanced interior. In addition to the classic Cummins® Turbo Diesel V8 engine, the Titan Warrior also incorporates a custom off-road suspension that lets you conquer any terrain.
Much like the other Future & Concept vehicles in the lineup, the Nissan TeRRA Electric SUV has a zero-emissions future in mind—and its technologies prove that the future is ever so closer. The TeRRA utilizes a 4×4 fuel cell electric powertrain to power its three electric motors for a completely gasoline-free drive. The TeRRA was also designed with family in mind, adding front and rear-hinged doors to open up and fit several passengers along for the journey.
While these models act as a great indicator for what’s to come in the future, our current line-up of Nissan vehicles already have a wide selection of advanced driving technologies included, so browse our inventory to learn more!
