Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) is designed to maintain a set speed or distance from any vehicle in front of you. If no vehicles are ahead, the vehicle will maintain its predetermined speed. It’s a simple and straightforward system, but one involving a multitude of moving parts to get you safely set within your speed. Read on below as we educate you on all there is to know about Intelligent Cruise Control, from your prime Nissan Edmonton source, West End Nissan.

To activate this functionality, turn on the system by pressing the Cruise on/off switch on the steering wheel. The white ICC indication logo will turn on in the dashboard screen. To turn off ICC, press cancel, then tap your brake pedal, or press the Cruise button off. The indicator in the dash will then disappear. Pressing on the resume switch will bring you back to your cruise control on your previous speed.
How to Change Speeds on Intelligent Cruise Control?
Changing speeds on the ICC system is easy and done simply from the controls on the steering wheel. To increase speed, press up on the Resume switch, your vehicle will go up by 5 km/h increments. Release it once you’ve reached your desired speed. To go up by 1 km/h increments, quickly release the switch up and down. To reduce your preferred travelling speed, do the same but with the downward Set button. If you have to pass another vehicle, press down on the accelerator, where the indicator will flash and show you going over your set speed. Once you’ve passed the vehicle, release the pedal and you’ll return to your set speed.
