The 2019 Nissan Altima's Upgrades Are Sure to Impress

For almost 25 years, the Nissan Altima has been a beloved vehicle for many car buyers. The sleek design and the continuous advancing features are what makes this vehicle so popular among many car buyers. And now, Nissan has decided to upgrade their already popular vehicle by introducing their sixth-generation Nissan Altima with added upgrades to the design, engine, and tech features.

The 2019 Nissan Altima has a sharp look to it that impresses at first glance. The sloped hood and sleek, thin headlights give it a more aggressive look than hat has been seen in previous Altimas. However, the sedan does still have some classic features, like the brightly lit LED tail lights that long-time fans of the vehicle will appreciate. However, even though there is still a small, reminiscent hint of the previous Altima, you don't remain on the popular list without evolving with the times, and nobody has conveyed this message better than the designers of the 2019 Altima.

The first major change with this model is the engine. Instead of offering a V-6 engine, as it has in previous years, the 2019 Nissan Altima will instead have a 2.0-litre VC- Turbo engine that is available for the SR and Platinum trims. The base engine is a 2.5-litre I4 that delivers 188 horsepower and 180 pounds per feet of torque. Drivers will be happy to know that Nissan has finally made an All-wheel drive option available on any Altima that is equipped with the base engine, but both engines have a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

When it comes to safety, Nissan didn't cut any corners on the 2019 Altima. It comes with an impressive array of safety features such as automatic emergency braking (AEB), forward-collision warning (FCW), lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

Another innovative safety feature that will come standard on the SV, SL, and Platinum trims is Nissan's ProPilot Assist system, which can help drivers maintain the vehicle's speed and direction while driving on the highway.

The new Altimas will also offer the Nissan Safety Sheild 360 package, which will include adaptive cruise control, road sign recognition, blind spot warning, pedestrian detection, and even a surround-view camera.

In addition to the upgraded safety features, Nissan has also incorporated a stunning interior into the 2019 Altima. Nissan gained inspiration from NASA when designing the Zero Gravity seats that add a level of comfort that both drivers and passengers will appreciate in this vehicle. It will also feature an 8-inch touchscreen monitor that looks as if it is floating above the radio system, and allows the driver to access navigational features, entertainment options, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2019 Nissan Altima has promising features that are sure to be just as popular in Edmonton as the previous Altimas were. The added features make the new vehicle feel like a crossover while looking like a sedan that many car buyers will both enjoy and appreciate.
